Homeless in Fresno

For one of my classes, we are doing an action project that our class had to brainstorm.  We got together and decided to do something that would benefit the homeless in Fresno.  There are many families that have no other option but to live on the streets or in a shelter.  The city of Fresno has been doing what they can to push the homeless out of their encampments.  For a lot of people, these encampments are their only option for a home.  Where are they suppose to go?  We will be at Fresno City College April 26th with a petition.  The petition states we would like to see more shelters built in Fresno for people in these situations and to stop bulldozing the homeless residents out of tent city.  We believe they should have a right to camp with the written permission of the landowner.  If you agree, find us on campus on the 26th and sign our petition!

Juicing

I recently bought an amazing juicer.  You can literally just throw the whole fruit or vegetable down the shoot.  I decided i was going to do a detox for 3 days.  I spent about 50 dollars on fruits and vegetables and juiced away for 3 days.  I tried to use a lot of vegetables, but juicing broccoli and asparagus isn't the best tasting thing, let me tell ya.  I stuck mostly to fruits and used a lot of carrots.  I couldn't believe how full it kept me all day.  I drank about 5 cups of juice throughout the day for 3 days.  It gave me so much energy and my skin felt so soft (probably from all the cucumbers).  I'm pretty thin as it is, so i wasnt looking to loose weight. I was amazed to see i didn't loose one pound!  Looks like i can get all the nutrients i need from my new juicer!!

The beauty of pintrest

I found Facebook a delightful thing to waste my time on when I had nothing else to do. Until, I was introduced to pintrest. I can spend hours on end JUST looking at pictures, I got so into it, my sister got mad at because I wasn't plying words with friends with her anymore. I told her it was her fault; she shouldn't of showed me pintrest. Ok I am not a hardcore pinterster that creates some cyber life and pins things to every catagory possible. I don't have every detail of my fake wedding planned out. I don't have my whole mansion all decorated with homemade crafts. I don't have food that looks so good it makes you stomachs growl after you just had lunch and I most defiently do not look like the girls on the fitness link. But, it is fun to pretend sometimes...it's a good place to create your American dream life..ooooohhh PINTREST.

Twitter and Blogging

I am an expert to Facebook.  I have been for about 5 years.  I love it!! It is so easy for me to work, i know where everything is and what everything means.  WHAT IS WITH TWITTER?  I am completely clueless on how to work Twitter...and completely clueless as to what the point of it is.  I feel like Twitter is almost stalker-ish.  You "Follow" someone? That just sounds a little creepy to me! I noticed people started hash-tagging on Facebook.  Whoa whoa whoa now, lets just keep this to twitter.  I'm already overwhelmed just looking at twitter.  I do not need Facebook and Twitter to start blending together now!! Until next week... Off i go to try and master Twitter.
